Whether you’re looking for a comedy to watch or something more suspenseful, Netflix has something perfect for you. Here are some of our favorite shows that every woman should watch on Netflix.
One Day at a Time.
This show focuses on Penelope Alvarez (Justina Machado), a newly separated mother raising two children with the help of her mother (Rita Moreno) and building manager Schneider.
The show gets its name from the struggles Penelope faces after her husband leaves her. It follows Penelope as she raises a family on her own in a completely different backdrop.
The show follows a young woman who is set up by her grandmother to find love. It takes place in San Francisco and follows the dating life of Luz, and it brings up some interesting points on what it means to be a Latin woman trying to find love in this day and age.
Women typically face challenges when it comes to dating that men don’t have to deal with. Between cultural differences and the stigma surrounding them, dating can be a challenge. This show manages to bring up some good points while making you laugh simultaneously!
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
An upbeat show that centers around Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper), a young woman who has just been rescued from being held captive in an underground bunker for 15 years. With the help of her new friends Titus and Lillian, she tries to get back on her feet while still looking for the bright side of life.
The show manages to incorporate Kimmy’s cheery demeanor with the terrible things she has been through, making it a fun watch for any woman.
