He was inspired by his mother’s tea biscuits which were crunchy and sweet, so he created this new cookie using two biscuit wafers like his mother’s cookies, sandwiched together with either caramel or creme filling. Later on, they decided to add chocolate to make it a candy bar and to give it a crunchy texture of chocolate on the outside.

Martoccio Macaroni Company in Chicago, Illinois, had initially brought this candy bar to the market in 1939. Its name came from the idea that if you were to pay off your debts with a happy face, it would reward you by giving you one of these tasty candies! This is why on every single PayDay box, there’s a red background and a yellow happy face on opposite sides representing joy and payment.

Not all candy bars are created equal because their tastes differ depending on the ingredients used. As you can see, some components are more popular than others which is why some candy bars are more well-known than others.

We like different candy bars, such as Snickers with a salty and sweet taste, or Twix, a combination of sweet and crunchy. We like how chocolate tastes with different ingredients such as crispy wafers, peanut butter centers, or cookies. As you may have noticed, we gave the same response to the portion about “What we don’t like about it” for all of the candy bars in this list, since we love candy, all of the different types of chocolate, and other ingredients that it contains.
